Inside the Porthole:
- 130g dried golden figs
- 15g piece of fresh ginger, skin removed, cut into thin slices
- zest from ½ lemon, pith completely removed
- 2 thin lemon slices, pith and peel completely removed
- 2 sprigs fresh thyme
Liquid to be Added:
- 8-10oz vodka
To Assemble and Serve:
Arrange the infusion ingredients inside the Porthole. Close the Porthole, tighten screw, and check the seal for good contact on both sides.
Add the vodka into the assembled Porthole through the spout.
This cocktail is best when infused at least 2 days, up to around 3 weeks.
Tips:
- This infusion can be served simply over ice, or topped with chilled sparkling or tonic water for some extra snazz.
